Raccoon Removal in Cincinnati, Dayton & Northern Kentucky

Hearing heavy footsteps, thumping or movement in your attic at night?

A raccoon may be using part of your home or building for shelter.

Trapperz provides raccoon removal and wildlife inspections throughout Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky.

Our process begins by identifying where the activity is occurring, determining the appropriate removal approach and inspecting the exterior for the opening that allowed the problem to begin.

How Do Raccoons Get Into Attics?

Raccoons are strong climbers and can take advantage of vulnerable areas around a structure.

Potential entry areas can include:

  • Soffits

  • Roof returns

  • Chimneys

  • Roofline openings

  • Vents

  • Damaged exterior materials

  • Existing gaps in the structure

Sometimes wildlife uses an opening that already exists. In other situations, an animal may enlarge a weak or damaged area.

Signs You May Have a Raccoon

Common reports include:

  • Heavy movement at night

  • Thumping above ceilings

  • Scratching

  • Sounds around a chimney

  • Damaged soffits

  • Droppings or nesting material

  • Strong odors

  • Visible raccoon activity around the roof

Is Raccoon Trapping Enough?

Removing an active raccoon deals with the immediate animal problem.

It does not automatically eliminate the opening the raccoon used.

If that opening remains accessible, wildlife may be able to enter again later. It does not necessarily have to be the exact same raccoon or even the same species.

That is why Trapperz also inspects for entry areas and discusses repair or exclusion when appropriate.

What If Another Company Already Removed the Raccoon?

We can still inspect the property.

If an animal was removed but the entry point was never addressed, the structure may still be vulnerable to future wildlife activity.
